In Chapter One, I alluded to “The Twist” being popular due to a very esoteric principle in sound recording. There are actually two thought inputs into a sound system when a recording is made. This includes what could be termed the “psychic input” of the musicians as well as that of the performer. When the performer stands in front of the microphone and sings, he projectsa thought form into the coil or the capacitative element of that microphone. That capacitative element (the capacitor), basically consists of electronic plates with an insulator designed for the purpose of storing electrical potentials which can be reproduced at a distant point, such as a speaker. There is also an amplification process which amplifies the wave forms and eventually creates loud music at the receipt point (the audience). Sound waves are part of the electromagnetic spectrum. It is the electromagnetic function which is the key. Thought forms also make their own impingement on the electromagnetic background of the universe. For example, if you hear sound waves telling you there is a sale at a department store, you have also acquired the thought form that the managers of the store wanted you to have. Sound waves themselves are generally much more easily measurable and discernible than those wave forms produced by thought forms. In other words, the electromagnetic functions of thought forms are much more subtle and is indeed an esoteric subject in itself. But, all of you can easily perceive how thought forms are carried by sound waves when you consider the prospect of hearing something you don’t believe. For example, suppose you hear a politician say something. Inside of you, you can perceive that he is not telling the truth. It is not necessarily the sound itself which tips you off. The radio or sound system is actually projecting a duplication of what emanated from the origination point. You just “pick up on it”. In actual fact, the thoughts you “picked up on” were the result of electromagnetic impulses. The telepathic wave forms are subtle (less dense) in comparison to what ordinary science would refer to as wave forms, but they are nevertheless present and can be monitored within the realm of the electromagnetic spectrum. As I said earlier, it is an esoteric science. We will go more into the technical details of how this can occur in the physical spectrum, but first it will be necessary to go into some background theory on the metaphysics and physics of music itself.

The Jivahood has gone now. The little ‘l’ has melted. The differentiating mind that splits up has vanished. All barriers, all sense of duality, differences, separateness have disappeared. There is no idea of time and space. There is only eternity. The ideas of caste, creed and colour have gone now. He has the feeling of Apta-Kama (one who has obtained all that he desires). He feels, “There is nothing more to be known by me.” He feels perfect awareness of superconscious plane of Knowledge and intuition. He knows the whole secret of Creation. He is Omniscient. He is a Sarva-Vit or Knower of all details of Creation. Absolute fearlessness, desirelessness, thoughtlessness, l-lessness, mine-lessness, angerlessness, Brahmic aura in the face, freedom from Harsha and Shoka are some of the signs that indicate that the man has reached the state of superconsciousness. He is also always in a state of perfect bliss. You can never see anger, depression, cheerlessness and sorrow in his face. You willfind elevation, joy and peace in his presence. Cosmic consciousness is perfect awareness of the oneness of life. The Yogi feels that the universe is filled with one life. He actually feels that there is no such thing as blind force or dead matter and that all is alive, vibrating and intelligent. This is the experience of scientist Bose also. He has demonstrated it through laboratory experiments. He who has cosmic consciousness feels that the universe is all his. He is one with the Supreme Lord. He is one with the Universal knowledge and Life. He experiences bliss and joy beyond understanding and description. ln the moment of illumination or great spiritual exaltation he has the actual divine universal vision. He is conscious of being in the presence of God. He sees the light of God’s countenance. He is lifted above the ordinary plane of consciousness. He reaches a higher state of consciousness. He has a cosmic or universal understanding. He has developed the cosmic sense. The human soul is revolutionised.

Nature’s Music
When we pay attention to nature’s music we find that every thing on the earth contributes to its harmony. The trees joyously wave their branches in rhythm with the wind; the sound of the sea, the murmuring of the breeze, the whistling of the wind through the rocks, hills and mountains, the flash of the lightning, and the crash of the thunder, the harmony of the sun and moon, the movements of the stars and planets, the blooming of the flower, the fading of the leaf, the regular alternation of morning, evening, noon and night – all reveal to the seer the music of nature. The insects have their concerts and ballets, and the choirs of birds chant in unison their hymns of praise. Dogs and cats have their orgies, foxes and wolves have their soirees musicales in the forest, while tigers and lions hold their operas in the wilderness. Music is the only means of understanding among birds and beasts. This may be seen by the gradation of pitch and volume of tone, the manner of tune, the number of repetitions, and the duration of their various sounds. These convey to their fellow-creatures the time for joining the flock, the warning of coming danger, the declaration of war, the feeling of love, and the sense of sympathy, displeasure, passion, anger, fear and jealousy – making a language of itself.
