I love Sonic & Bass Culture.
I create fusions of garage, dub, dubstep, drum&bass, breaks, glitch, hip-hop and other emerging sounds from the global electronic music diaspora.
Genres collide and form tracks that collectively define an evolving and ambitious sound that has been described as “inspired ritualist. a journey through strange musical topographies, no map included” and “one of the deepest (as in depth charges) mixes around.” The electronic fusion project Other Weapons and the electro drum&bass Scout Ship further illustrate a passion for genre defying and hard to categorize styles.
Live performances are urban bass music excursions mixed in a hybrid DJ/Live PA style that showcases collaborations and remixes from a worldwide network of sonic co-conspirators and artists who are passionate about representing and reverently re-contextualizing sounds and music from the cultures of Earth.
Musicians/producers/vocalists that i’ve collaborated with or remixed include Maga Bo (Brazil), Kush Arora, Juakali, MC Zulu, Emch Subatomic, Dr. Israel, Mark Pistel, Dub Gabriel, Sub Swara (United States), Hope Masike (Zimbabwe), Jam Jarr, Teba Shumba (South Africa), Profisee (United Kingdom), Steve Rutaa/X Plastaz (Tanzania) among many others.
